New federal regulations related to surprise billing and price transparency went into effect January 1, 2021, likely impacting scheduling and billing workflows and staff responsibilities. In addition, many hospitals are signing on to American Hospital Association’s (AHA) updated patient billing guidelines, which may require changes to patient billing practices. This webinar is intended for healthcare human resource professionals to learn more about these policies and potential new staff trainings that will be needed.

Ariel (Ari) Levin is a Senior Associate Director at the American Hospital Association, where she focuses on price transparency, health insurance coverage policy, and state health policy issues. Previously she was a manager with Manatt Health. She has also worked at a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in Washington, D.C and at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as the Special Assistant to the Associate Director for Health Policy. She holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA in Public Policy from Duke University.
