Member Recognition
ASHHRA honors its members for noteworthy accomplishments in the field of healthcare human resources. The following categories are where members are currently recognized by ASHHRA.
AWARDS
ASHHRA Leadership Award
The ASHHRA Leadership Award recognizes a healthcare human resources practitioner who has made exceptional leadership, operations or community contributions to their organization or community.
To qualify:
- You must be a current ASHHRA Practitioner member and have been so for at least one year prior to submitting your application.
- You must have a minimum of three years of healthcare human resources experience.
Required Documents
- Completed application form submitted by the deadline date: Friday, Feb. 20, 2026.
- An up-to-date resume showing your most recent position.
- Essay: Submit an essay (500-word maximum) that outlines your outstanding leadership, operations, or community contributions and why you believe you would be the best candidate for the award.
Additional Terms
- Members of the Board of Directors are not eligible for this award.
- A recipient of this award is not eligible to submit another application until two years have passed since receiving the award.
Workforce Engagement Award
The ASHHRA Workforce Engagement Award recognizes an individual who has personally led a project that has increased employee engagement, decreased employee turnover or increased employee retention. Proof of obtaining these metrics is required to be submitted with the application.
To qualify:
- You must be a current ASHHRA Practitioner member and have been so for at least one year prior to submitting your application.
- You must have a minimum of three years of healthcare human resources experience.
- Completed application form submitted by the deadline date:
Feb. 20, 2026Friday, March 6, 2026. - An up-to-date resume showing your most recent position.
- Essay: Submit an essay (500-word maximum) that outlines the project you led which resulted in increased employee engagement, decreased employee turnover, or increased employee retention. You must submit proof of having attained a metric that would support your contribution and claim contained in your essay.
- Members of the Board of Directors are not eligible for this award.
- A recipient of this award is not eligible to submit another nomination until two years have passed since receiving the award.
