Participants will leave with practical insights and a simple framework to conduct an initial HR-focused threat assessment within their own organizations, supported by ongoing collaboration with IT security experts.

Dr. Eric Richardson is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Healthcare Leadership and Management at the Medical University of South Carolina. He leads strategic initiatives that bridge academic innovation, technology, and workforce development—ensuring that learners are prepared to serve as effective, ethical, and future-ready leaders in healthcare. As an AI Futurist in Healthcare Education, Dr. Richardson’s work explores how emerging technologies and data-driven approaches can strengthen leadership capacity, operational efficiency, and equitable access across health systems.

Kim Watson has almost 40 years’ experience in information assurance and currently works as a cybersecurity strategist. During her career, Ms. Watson has been the Senior Program Advisor for Operations and Security Services at the Center for Internet Security (CIS); the Technical Director for the Integrated Adaptive Cyber Defense (IACD) program at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab; and a Technical Director in the Information Assurance Directorate at the National Security Agency (NSA) supporting vulnerability discovery, defensive cyber operations, and operational risk management missions.
