- Upon approval of your article, ASHHRA will contact you with next steps for publication.

Please submit your articles at least one month prior to intended publishing date. Publish dates are listed below. ASHHRA will publish articles as outlined in STEP 3 of the Contributor Guide.

STEP 3: How ASHHRA Reviews and Selects Your Submission
Acceptance Criteria
Submitted articles must connect directly to healthcare human resources and provide clear, solution-oriented insights for ASHHRA members. Content should be original, well written in AP Style, and timely addressing an emerging issue, knowledge gap, or relevant trend. Submissions must also align with ASHHRA’s values and fall within recognized core topic areas.
Selection Process
Acceptance is based on both quality and alignment with the editorial content calendar. Articles that meet the acceptance criteria will be considered for an upcoming issue and scheduled according to topic relevance, timing, and available publication space. Strong articles that do not fit the immediate month’s theme may be held for a future issue where the content better aligns.
Review Process
Each submission is reviewed by the ASHHRA editorial team to confirm clarity, accuracy, member value, and readiness for publication. Editors may request revisions to strengthen topic focus, improve clarity, or ensure AP Style consistency. Contributors will be notified if edits are needed or when their article has been accepted and assigned a month of publication.
