2025 Healthcare Job Architecture Report

Executive Summary

Job architecture is the enterprise-wide framework that organizes roles into families and levels, standardizes titles and leveling criteria, and links jobs to evaluation, pay structures, and skills. In healthcare, it creates a consistent language across facilities and functions (e.g., Nursing, Clinical Ops, IT), improving mobility, staffing decisions, and pay equity while enabling clearer career paths.

This report synthesizes the Healthcare edition of the 2025 Global Job Architecture Practices Survey, which has been provided to survey participants. It highlights the current state of job architecture across healthcare organizations.

Top findings: enterprise-wide approaches are growing, job evaluation methods continue to rely on market pricing, job descriptions are widely standardized but governance remains uneven, whereas skills integration into job architecture is still emerging.
