ASHHRA Partnership in Innovation Award presented to Dallas College

Dallas College has developed a long-term partnership with the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA) to engage employer partners nationwide as part of a project funded by the Department of Labor. Beginning in 2020, the ASHHRA partnership has flourished over the past four years, fostering connections with healthcare systems and institutions in 25 states, plus Washington, D.C.. These three-way partnerships (employer-ASHHRA-Dallas College) have resulted in a national ecosystem that is shaping the future of work.

The work of this successful partnership has garnered attention, including a feature on a podcast with over one million downloads. ASHHRA Executive Director and CEO, Jeremy Sadlier (“Sadler”), will speak about the fruits of our partnership as well as present Dallas College with the ASHHRA Partnership in Innovation Award for their extraordinary contribution and unwavering commitment to the healthcare workforce.

Together, ASHHRA and Dallas College have a shared vision for longitudinal impact on the healthcare workforce. Seeing the value in partnering with Dallas College, Jeremy has attended the Sector Strategies meetings, held in Dallas over the past two months. Opportunities abound to connect the National Partnerships team with ASHHRA members nationwide. Further, the relationship has resulted in several key initiatives and strategies for upskilling and reskilling the workforce in novel ways, inspiring entry- and mid-level employees to take a leap of faith, to consider career growth and take advantage of opportunities they would not consider without incentive and in conjunction with buy-in from the C-suite.
